Finally found a cheap beater down in the springs, paid $600 and drove it 70 miles back to Denver at a steady 85mph without a hiccup. No pics yet as I dropped it off at my dealership so I can go over it on a lift and find out exactly what I’ve bought. Your hints are that Zoidberg would (hopefully) approve, I’ve named it Geoff and that before I saw the craigslist ad, it was a car (well, variant) I never knew existed-Go!

Not a GSi unfortunately, but yes! Who knows, a 4A-GE swap may be in the cards but for now it's the 4A-FE.

Just a base unfortunately but if I can find a cheap 4A-GE to start rebuilding I have enough left in the original budget to pounce and prepare that for an eventual swap.
